Mourning Silence

From the ashes she rises
Beneathe the cold falling rain

Mourning Silence

She fell from the sky
Broken dreams upon her back
Pulling her down to the ground

Never looking back or
over her shoulder
She was at peace with the thought
burning up deep inside

There was no horror
There was no pain lingering
All in a moment
It was gone

I saw her as brilliance
I once saw her as fate
I saw her face shine
In the light

It came to me now
As I looked at her silhouette
I felt deep and mournful
of the words never said

I hunger for those moments
I long with desire
I lost my humanity with each
passing phase

Did she know all along
Was it right or was it wrong
My heart stopped it’s beating
so long ago

I’m twisted
I’m thirsty
My body feels the yearning
It needs to be fed
I walk in this silence quite alone

From the ashes she rises
Beneathe the cold falling rain
I want you I need you
Will the world ever feel the same

Her journey has started
Am I left far behind
Am I more than a shadow
Was I wrong from the start?

“You are my dark angel
You are my whispering wind
I was everything you ever wanted
I touched your lips with my sin”

“I was lost in your make believe
Your cemetery gates
I was running with the hunted
I promised you that I’d wait”

In the distance I see Her
I call out her name
There’s no return or reaction
Am I dreaming or insane

I walk to embrace you
I want to feel your soft hands
Holding on to you tightly
I know my soul’s damned

My dark angel has fallen
Her broken wings will never fly
I’m a creature of the night
That has already died

There’s a wolf in the forest
I feel the torture in his cries
With death comes freedom
I said my goodbye…..
