Because you life depended on it
Lost
Daydreaming bewilderment
Reflecting upon times of when we were but hunters and gatherers of food for our tribe
Were Those the good ole days
Were they simpler more Alive
Were there less secrets
Hiding ‘neath the tongue
Was it easier to be Brave
Because you life depended on it
Were their fewer demons
Fighting each other in our heads
Were things black and white
Less confusing and more trusting
Did little things and oddities
Make more or less sense
Were we cautious
beyond default
Not wanting to endanger
what we have
Are we fearful of
asking questions
Because that’s never
Worked out before
Do we learn from the fire
Not to put our hand to the flame
Are we destined to repeat
our flaws again and again
Was the partaking
of The fruit of knowledge
Worth it after all
Would we feel better not asking
These questions again and again
Are words simply suicide
And NOT games to play with
Lost
Daydreaming
Bewilderment
Reflecting upon times
